sweet love for planet earth
oil on linen | 56 x 56cm

…reflecting on evolution and our relationship to the earth,
an aerial view of shifting sands in the Sahara Desert is
transformed into an imaginative other space. A heterotopia*
where cosmic colours and rhythms become impetus for
creative consciousness…

Heterotopia is a concept in human geography…
spaces…
that are simultaneously physical and mental…

abandonment_#2

A PRIMER TO THE WORKS

Picture this

city streets and concrete [con]caves

a meditation on mindlessness

until grit and grind learn to behave

Blank emotions mask

as we walk through the motion

as graffiti graftings

and pages of history push past them

Intonations of times’ signature defeated

as hands fall to wall

and the whiting out

of natures’ vast sense of personality

cripples us all

Weighed down by local insomnia

the unbearable roundness of being

striated serendipity

at the concentric corpus seeing

Odic light upon the night

as midnight marauders

loot to induce a sense

of defiance to take flight

Human intervention collapses

like the curl at the end of space

where the movement against force

falls into a heav[enl]y sense of place

[Meta]physical matter matters for none

until the signifiers are done

reunite with the marks

of a modern [wo]man

whose [neo]tribal instincts have yet to come
